No other band has been more influential in pop-punk than blink-182. Their trademark verve spawned a slew of imitators, none nearly as innovative as Blink was in their prime. Last year’s California was a bold reintroduction and a promising sign of life in the wake of one member’s unfortunate departure. Rejuvenated, it appears the band is taking in a victory lap with an encore-reissue of California. Spoiling us with 11 new tracks, California Deluxe proves that their collaboration with Matt Skiba was no fluke, and the re-release has arrived just in time for another round of summer. Top Ten Movies of the Summer
Summer movie season has come to an end. It’s been a season full of high-flying superheroes and long-awaited sequels (nostalgia is definitely trending this year), but there were a few unexpected gems along the way. Nevertheless, this summer provided a unique slate of movies that drew us to the box office time and time again. Here are my top ten favorites.
The Movie of the Summer
September is on the horizon, which means that summer movie season is over. And what a summer it’s been. Superheroes and sequels were in abundance here (as they usually are), but there were a few notable surprises along the way. There were triumphs as well as flops, hits followed by misses. Still, the summer provided a unique variety of movies that brought us to the theaters time and time again. But what was THE movie of the summer? That is the real question.
